FUTURITY
STALLION SERVICE FUTURITY RULES

All General Futurity Rules will apply with the Exception Of # 8

1) Stallion Service entry is open to get of stallions whose services have been sold for the current year through the GQHA Stallion Service program, or to the specific foals resulting from services sold in a previous year.  With proof, those specific  foals may enter regardless of stallion’s future participation.

2)  Owners using a free certificate must submit the required entries and certificate by published deadline.  .

3) The purse will consist of 90% of stallion fees sold for that season, less expenses, divided amongst all Stallion Service classes. 65% of entry fees will be jackpotted and added to the purse. “FREE” entries will be divided equally amongst the classes.

4) Classes will pay each place up to 8.

5) A free entry will be given to the owner of each stallion whose service is SOLD.  Certificates are transferable in the year acquired, and expire Dec. 31st of that year (effective 2006).

6) Buyer and Stallion owner will be responsible for making all legal arrangements between themselves.

7) GQHA  is not responsible for buyer’s or stallion owner’s effort to effect breeding of purchaser’s mare.

8) Should the stallion die, buyer then agrees that the breeding contract shall become null and void, and any money paid for the stud service shall be refunded and constitute payment in full for damage that may be incurred by buyer thereof.

9) Buyer specifically acknowledges and understands that the Georgia Quarter Horse Association acts as selling agent only, and makes no warranties either expressed, implied, or by any means of interpretation in connection with stallion owner’s contract.

10) Stallion owner of record will receive 10% of total offspring winnings.  (effective 2005)
